Research Studies Seeking Participants
Research Study — ends April 1st
This is a UC Irvine Genetic Counseling program Master’s thesis, exploring opinions and experiences of siblings of people with Down syndrome and whether they experience a courtesy stigma, or stigma by association. This study is part of the UC Irvine Down Syndrome Program under the direction of Dr. Ira Lott and Dr. Maureen Bocian. Dr. Lott was past Chair, Science Board, National Down Syndrome Society (1998-2011).
A brief (10-15 minutes) online survey to be taken by adult siblings of people with Down syndrome. Participants may be the full, half, step, or adoptive sibling of someone with Down syndrome and must be 18 years of age or older. The survey is available here.
